Dominic Dutra

Dominic Dutra has spent more than eight years in the architectural and real estate development world after serving several years as an attorney and law clerk in Illinois and California. As Agency Manager, Mr. Dutra applies his past legal training and acumen to guide projects through all stages of development with regard to performing due diligence on zoning issues, development standards, environmental laws and other local, state and national regulatory concerns. He works side-by-side with the architects, engineers, consultants, owners and developers to acquire entitlement and permitting approvals while also laying out a roadmap through the increasingly complex regulatory environment that projects face and successfully navigating them through it efficiently.

Mr. Dutra has successfully obtained entitlement approvals and permits for projects covering a broad range of uses and complexities. He’s handled approvals ranging from single-family homes and ADUs to office tenant improvements, restaurants and retail spaces, warehouse facilities, historic property renovations, auto dealerships, master-planned redevelopment sites, multi-family housing, senior housing and care facilities, and large scale hotels. The clients and brands he’s worked with include Sunrise Sr. Living; the Hilton, Marriott and Radisson hotel brands; Acura, Hyundai, CVS, PG&E, Starbucks, Rutherford Winery and others.

Mr. Dutra holds a Juris Doctor degree Santa Clara University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of California Santa Barbara where he graduated with Honors and was a member of the UCSB men’s lacrosse team. Outside the office he enjoys traveling, seeing live music, and visiting his brothers, who are scattered across the US.
