Margit E. Whitlock, NCARB, AIA

As Principal and Creative Director for Architecture and Interior Design, Margit Whitlock is responsible for creating the concepts that drive the design. Once the project is established, she coordinates feasibility studies, governmental processing including zoning, development and construction permits. In addition to master planning and architectural design, her experience with consultant coordination on large-scale projects has assisted many clients in understanding the full scope of a building project. Ms. Whitlock is an accomplished speaker with engagements at multiple ARDA conventions and HD Boutique shows, and is frequently published in magazines such as Developments, Resort Trades, Hotel Business, Hiatus, Vacation Industry Review and Resort Management and Operations.

Ms. Whitlock’s project list includes hospitality, retail, restaurant, commercial, cannabis, civic and multi-family/senior housing. Some of her firm’s completed projects include award-winning Cibola Vista Resort and Spa, Sheraton Harbor Island Spa, Lawrence Welk Resort Villas, Golden Door Spa, Westin Mission Hills Conference Center and Spa. She received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Oregon with academic strengths in urban planning and design, and extended studies in Art History and Architecture at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. She is a registered Architect in California, Arizona, Texas, Pennsylvania, Hawaii, Florida and New York and holds her NCARB (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards) certificate.
